Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Pulsewire Media (“Pulsewire”, “we”, “us”) handles information relating to readers of pulsewire.example. It applies to all pages of the site, including article pages, search, reader profiles and comment functionality.

This document is placeholder legal text produced for design review and does not constitute legal advice.

2. Information we collect

Account information. If you choose to create a profile, we store the display name, email address and avatar selection you provide. Accounts are optional; the site is fully readable without one.

Guest participation. If you like an article or post a comment as a guest, we store the comment text, the display name you enter (if any) and the time of submission. We do not require an email address for guest participation.

Technical information. Our servers record standard request logs, including a truncated network address and the requested page, for security and abuse prevention.

3. How we use information

To publish and display comments, to maintain saved-article and reading-history features for account holders, to respond to correspondence, and to detect and prevent abuse of the comment system.

We do not build advertising profiles, we do not run third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent reader information to any party.

4. Legal bases

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent for optional account features, on legitimate interests for the security and integrity of the service, and on legal obligation where retention is mandated.

5. Retention

Account records are retained until you delete the account. Published comments are retained for as long as the associated article remains available; deleting your account converts your comments to guest comments rather than removing the discussion thread. Security logs are retained for 90 days.

6. Sharing with third parties

We share information with hosting and content-delivery providers acting on our instructions under written agreements. We may disclose information where legally compelled, and will notify affected readers unless prohibited from doing so.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences such as comment sort order. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies.

8. Your rights

Subject to your jurisdiction, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Requests can be sent to privacy@pulsewire.example and are answered within 30 days.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Where we learn that we have, the record is deleted.

10. International transfers

Our infrastructure operates across multiple regions. Where information is transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.

11. Changes to this policy

Material changes are announced on this page at least 14 days before taking effect, with the previous version linked for comparison.
